Charles S. Sandor, Jr., M.D. certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, specializes in cataract and LASIK surgery. He has one of the largest surgical practices in the Chicago area, performing over one thousand surgeries annually. His practice is limited to his areas of interest and surgical expertise, which are cataract and LASIK surgery.

Dr. Sandor received a bachelors degree in biochemistry from Harvard University and a medical doctorate at the Indiana University School of Medicine. After an internship in internal medicine at Northwestern University, he completed a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Michigan W.K. Kellogg Eye Center.

Dr. Sandor is a certified Visx Excimer Laser and LASIK surgeon. He organized the effort to acquire a VISX Star Excimer Laser for The Center For Surgery in Naperville, Illinois so that area ophthalmologists and their patients are able to access the most technologically advanced equipment available for performing LASIK.   Under his leadership, the Laser Vision Center at The Center for Surgery operates two VISX Star S2 Excimer Lasers and performs over 3,000 LASIK procedures annually, providing the best in quality and service.

Dr. Sandor serves on the Board of Directors of the DuPage Physicians Limited Partnership, Inc. and of The Center for Surgery. He is also Chairman of the Ophthalmology Department at The Center For Surgery. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the DuPage Medical Society.
