Glaucoma and Cataract Surgery

Edward Sung, M.D., certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, specializes in glaucoma and cataract surgery. He performs diagnostic testing for glaucoma, and provides medical, laser and surgical treatments. He also specializes in small-incision cataract surgery.

Dr. Sung earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in chemistry from Princeton University and is a graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, Michigan. His internship in Michigan was followed by an ophthalmology residency at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He completed a fellowship in glaucoma at the University of Iowa.

Dr. Sung is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Illinois State Medical Society, the DuPage County Medical Society and the Christian Medical and Dental Association.
