Michael A. Kipp, M.D., certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, specializes in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. He concentrates his practice on the medical and surgical treatment of various childhood eye disorders including strabismus (eye misalignment), amblyopia ("lazy eye"), cataracts, glaucoma, tear duct obstructions and prematurity. He also treats adult eye muscle problems.
Dr. Kipp graduated cum laude from
the University of Notre Dame and with honors from the University
of Chicago’s Pritzker School of Medicine. He completed
an ophthalmology residency at the W.K. Kellogg Eye Center
at the University of Michigan, where he served as Chief
Resident. He furthered his training as the Heed Ophthalmic
Foundation Fellow in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus
at the same institution.
Dr. Kipp is the
former Director of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus
at the University of Chicago where he taught numerous residents-in-training,
medical students and optometry students for over eight years.
He now concentrates his practice full time at the Wheaton
Eye Clinic.
Dr. Kipp is a
member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American
Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, and
the American Medical Association.
Dr. Kipp is married
and has five children. He is an avid fan of Notre Dame football
and the Chicago White Sox.
Dr. Kipp has office hours at our
Wheaton, Naperville and Hinsdale locations. |
