Sarah M. Reynolds, O.D., is certified by the Illinois Board of Optometric Examiners in the use of diagnostic and therapeutic pharmaceutical agents for the treatment of ocular diseases and infections. She concentrates on pre-operative and post-operative co-management of cataract patients.
Dr. Reynolds is a graduate of Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska where she was on the Dean’s List and earned her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Chemistry. She then earned her Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL.
During this time she gained experience with externships at the Illinois Eye Institute and the Sidney Hillman Health Center in Chicago, the Deicke Center for Visual Rehabilitation in Wheaton, Illinois, and St. James Hospital in Olympia Fields, Illinois.
Prior to her advanced training, Dr. Reynolds served as a Contact Lens Laboratory Teaching Assistant and as a Clinical Tutor at the Illinois College of Optometry. She had earlier worked as a contact lens technician at the Illinois Eye Institute and as an optometric technician.
Dr. Reynolds is a member of the American Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association Low Vision Section, and the Illinois College of Optometry Contact Lens Society.
Dr. Reynolds has volunteered as a committee member for Rush-Copley Medical Center’s White Cross Ball; was co-chairperson for the Paramount Arts Center’s First Annual Masquerade Ball; and is currently serving on the Women’s Health Community Advisory Board at Rush-Copley Medical Center.
