Degree in Biology from Loyola University and a Doctorate in Medicine from Loyola University School of Medicine. After completing his residency at Loyola, Dr. Brazis completed a fellowship in corneal and external diseases of the eye at the University of Texas. ExperienceDr. Brazis has been an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at Loyola University Medical Center for over 24 years, a clinical instructor at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center and attending physician at Hines VA Hospital. Dr. Brazis has been performing surgery for nearsightedness longer than anyone in Illinois, having done his first radial keratotomy in 1980. Dr. Brazis has done research in refractive surgery and has lectured, operated and taught physicians internationally on five continents.
