Steven R. Lafayette, M.D. provides comprehensive eye examinations for adults and older children. He diagnoses and treats medical diseases and disorders of the eye as well and performs anterior segment laser surgery. He specializes in small-incision cataract surgery.

Education

Dr. Lafayette earned a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology at Louisiana State University and a Medical Doctorate from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, LA. He completed an internship in internal medicine at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago followed by a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Chicago Hospitals.

Experience

Dr. Lafayette performs over five hundred cataract surgeries annually and his area of surgical expertise includes cataract surgery and pterygium removal.

Dr. Lafayette is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
