Education

Dr. Tichy received his medical degree from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine where he also completed his residency. This was followed by a retina fellowship at St. Louis University.

Experience

Dr. Tichy has taught medical students from the University of Illinois. He has taught ophthalmology residents in Romania, Bulgaria and Uganda. He currently teaches international fellows at the Wheaton Eye Clinic. He is a respected educator and has taught at the local, regional and national level.

Accreditation

Dr. Tichy is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Affiliations

Dr. Tichy is a past-president of the Ophthalmic Anesthesia Society. He also is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Medical Association, the Illinois Association of Ophthalmology and the Illinois State Society. He is a board member of the DuPage County Medical Society.
