Dr. Rachel Bush is a residency-trained optometrist specializing in ocular disease, with a particular focus on the management of cataracts, refractive surgery and dry eye. She is passionate about providing comprehensive, personalized care and helping patients achieve the best possible visual outcomes.

Education

Dr. Bush earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Loyola University Chicago before receiving her Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon. She completed her residency training in ocular disease with an emphasis in low vision at the Lebanon VA Medical Center in Lebanon, Pennsylvania.

Experience

Dr. Bush brings extensive experience in medical optometry and surgical co-management, having spent years practicing in a high-volume cataract and refractive surgery setting in Arlington, Texas. As Clinical Director, she provided comprehensive patient care while also serving as a leader and mentor among her colleagues.

Throughout her career, Dr. Bush has managed and treated a broad range of ocular conditions including severe dry eye disease, glaucoma, macular degeneration and has extensive experience in cataract and refractive surgery co-management, including pre- and post-operative care. Her experience in both medical optometry and surgery co-management allows her to provide thoughtful, personalized care throughout the patient’s visual journey.
