Dr. Kang specializes in corneal and external diseases and cataract surgery. He diagnoses and treats disorders of the front portion of the eye including corneal infections, inflammatory conditions, corneal dystrophies and degenerations, disorders of the eyelid and conjunctiva. His surgical interests include cataract, corneal transplant, pterygium, and ocular surface neoplasia.
Dr. Kang earned a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in biochemistry and anthropology from Washington University in St. Louis and a Medical Doctorate with honors from Cornell University. Following graduation, Dr. Kang completed his internship at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City and residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in Chicago.
