Dr. Sims provides comprehensive eye examinations and specializes in customized cataract surgery. She diagnoses and treats medical diseases and disorders of the eye. She has performed over 15,000 cataract surgeries and provides a personal, warm experience.
Dr. Sims earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. While at DePauw, she served as captain of her swim team and was named Academic All-American Scholar Athlete. Following her education at DePauw, Dr. Sims graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. She was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Her internship at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis was followed by an ophthalmology residency at Loyola University Medical Center.
Dr. Sims has traveled overseas to provide surgical eye care to the underserved. She has served in multiple leadership roles at the Wheaton Eye Clinic.
