Miki Kitahata, O.D.

Specialization

Dr. Kitahata specializes in medical optometry. He is certified in the use of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Pharmaceutical agents for the treatment of Ocular Disease and Infections. Dr. Kitahata’s interests include pre-operative and post-operative co-management of cataracts, refractive surgery, dry eye disease, glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. He also specializes in contact lenses and fits all types of contact lenses.

Education

Dr. Kitahata is a graduate of Loyola University of Chicago where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. He graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago with the degree of Doctor of Optometry. Dr. Kitahata gained further experience by completing an externship at Fort Sheridan Military Base and at Rock Island Armory.

Dr. Kitahata has spent the last 35 years in a family-based private practice treating all ages and all ocular health conditions.
