Dr. McIntyre specializes in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus. His practice focuses on the medical and surgical treatment of pediatric eye disorders, such as strabismus (misaligned eyes), amblyopia (“lazy eye”), childhood ptosis (droopy eyelid), childhood cataracts, tear duct obstructions, and examination for and treatment of retinopathy of prematurity. He also treats adults with strabismus.
Dr. McIntyre graduated from Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN with both Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in biology, and a medical doctorate degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, IN. He completed an ophthalmology residency at the Indiana University School of Medicine and a pediatric ophthalmology fellowship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH. While in training he enjoyed teaching medical students and junior residents in the clinic and surgical settings.
