Saaquib R. Bakhsh, M.D.

Saaquib R. Bakhsh, M.D. is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and specializes in Vitreoretinal surgery. He provides medical, laser, and surgical treatments for a variety of ocular conditions including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, macular holes, dislocated lenses, epiretinal membranes, ocular inflammation, and retinal detachments.


Dr. Bakhsh earned his bachelor’s degree cum laude in Statistics and Environmental Sciences from Northwestern University. He then obtained his medical doctorate from the Rush University College of Medicine in Chicago, IL.. Following graduation, he completed his medical internship and then Ophthalmology residency at the Beaumont Eye Institute. Dr. Bakhsh furthered his training with a fellowship in Vitreoretinal surgery and disease at Indiana University in Indianapolis, IN.


Dr. Bakhsh has numerous scientific publications and presentations on a variety of advanced ophthalmic and vitreoretinal topics. His recent work is dedicated to ending the healthcare disparities faced by our most vulnerable populations and his focus includes the interplay between socioeconomics, ethnicity, culture, environment, and public health.


Dr. Bakhsh is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists.
