Jon P. Gieser, M.D. Named President of Wheaton Eye Clinic

March 2018 – The physicians of Wheaton Eye Clinic have elected Jon P. Gieser, M.D. to serve as President of the Clinic, a position held for the past eight years by Ruth D. Williams, M.D. who continues her full-time practice.

As Wheaton Eye Clinic’s presiding executive officer, Dr. Gieser will work closely with staff and the 31 other physician partners to maintain the highest standards of patient care.

Dr. Gieser received his undergraduate degree from Wheaton College and his M.D. degree from University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Following an ophthalmology residency at the University of Michigan and a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at the University of Illinois in Chicago, Dr. Gieser joined Wheaton Eye Clinic in 1997. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and specializes in the diagnosis and management of diseases involving the retina and vitreous.
