Dr. Lee specializes in corneal and external diseases of the eye. She diagnoses and treats disorders of the anterior segment of the eye including cornea infections, inflammatory conditions, corneal dystrophies and degenerations, and disorders of the eyelid and conjunctiva. Her surgical interests include cataract, corneal transplant, pterygium, and ocular surface neoplasia.
Dr. Lee earned a Bachelor of Science degree magna cum laude, in biology from Brown University in Providence, RI, and a Medical Doctorate from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Following graduation, Dr. Lee completed her internship at McNeal Hospital in Berwyn, IL and residency in ophthalmology at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary, where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Lee furthered her training during a
fellowship in cornea, external disease and refractive surgery at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary.
Dr. Lee’s years of clinical experience have included a broad spectrum of diseases of the anterior segment, both medical and surgical. She prioritizes clear communication with patients about their clinical issue, as well as the choices for treatment.
